LOS ANGELES - CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric is weighing several options to take her career in a new direction when her contract ends, including a possible daytime talk show, a source who knew of her plans said on Monday.
Couric, 54, became the first female solo anchor of a US weekday network evening news broadcast in 2006. Her five-year contract expires in early June, and her future career plans have been the subject of media reports for several weeks.
